Client Reflections

"Meredith provided a comprehensive evaluation of all areas of our yard, including planting annuals and perennials, tree care and removal of Buckthorn. She provided suggestions and improvements to our landscaping and pruning of our existing bushes and some trees. She was very knowledgeable and always shared with us why she thought an improvement would help. Anything that she didn't know, she would research.
Our neighbors were so impressed by Meredith's improvement of our yard and her work ethic, they asked us for her contact information. We would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. Meredith is a knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful person, along with being great at her job!!"

About Me

My journey to loving native plants began as a passion for wildlife conservation. Earning my degree in Field Research Biology illuminated the need for holistic ecology and the balance of flora and fauna. Now, I strive to find fun ways to incorporate native ecology into urban landscapes in a way that is both ecologically beneficial and aesthetically beautiful.

When I spend time in someone’s yard, I'm getting to know the plants, soil, pets, wildlife, pests, pollinators, and the noxious weeds. It all comes together to tell a story of what has happened and stirs up possibilities of the potential a space holds. By focusing on plants that are native, gardens require less intervention and grow as nature intended; being essentially able to care for themselves.  When a plant is growing within an environment that provides a specific set of ideal growing conditions, it doesn't require as much supplement from humans. My job is to make sure that these plants are chosen correctly so that they can become well established and thrive with minimal care.

Native species are vital to create habitat, but many landscapes have beautiful ornamentals that are successful and healthy. These varieties hold importance in different ways and undoubtably add beauty to our homes and yards. Tending to all our landscaped plants with care, we spark hope through proliferate plants, rich soils, visual beauty, less effort, and prosperous pollinator and wildlife populations.
